Hello, my name is Nicholas Thurston.

I began my career in Information Technology in 2016, stepping into a PC Technician role after transitioning from direct support work, an experience that gave me a strong foundation in problem-solving and serving others effectively.

From there, I took initiative to grow across multiple roles within the IT department, taking ownership of critical responsibilities including Active Directory and Azure administration, end-user support, and leading the implementation of software solutions that improved organizational efficiency.

Seeking to broaden my impact, I moved into the financial sector as an Applications Systems Analyst, where I drove the support, maintenance, and improvement of high-stakes systems managing financial transactions, work that demanded both technical precision and sound judgment under pressure.

I have recently led network, cybersecurity, and system administration efforts with a specialization in security, ensuring the integrity and resilience of the systems an organization depends on.
