Hello! My name is Nicholas Thurston!

I started working in Information Technology in 2016, moving from a direct support professional to a PC Technician position supporting the IT systems. 

I worked up through various roles in the IT department and gained experience administrating Active Directory and Azure, providing end-user support when needed, and assisting with the implementation of software solutions.

I then worked briefly in the financial sector as an Applications Systems Analyst supporting, maintaining, and improving systems carrying out financial transactions.

In my current role, I perform network, cybersecurity, and system administration duties with a specialization in security.

As I progress through my career, I obtain certifications to validate my knowledge, experience, and to learn new tools and skills.
